    Doctor

Dr. Joseph Finch is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement, with a special emphasis on revision arthroplasty. This encompasses patients with pain, infection or instability in a joint already replaced.

In addition, he also enjoys helping patients with arthritic joints, some of whom require total joint replacement. For these patients, he utilizes minimally invasive surgery and computer-navigated robotic surgery when necessary. Anterior approach and Birmingham total hips are an option, also.

Nonsurgically, Dr. Finch offers the common steroid and gel joint injections. PRP and stem cell injections are also available for arthritic joints and other painful orthopedic conditions. While this is not commonly covered by insurances, there is promising research and data in their results.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Finch is the program director for the Corewell Health (formally Beaumont Health) Farmington Hills orthopedic residency. Also, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), the Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He is also a clinical examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
